Wildwood NJ Boardwalk Food

There are many restaurants on the Wildwood NJ boardwalk that serves the traditional boardwalk food such as pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, french fries, cotton candy, ice cream, polish water ice, etc.

We have eaten at so many places on the boardwalk, but we always come back to one place that has all the Italian type foods. The Hot Spot has all kinds of sandwhiches such as meatball, eggplant, egg, chicken parmesean, etc. Of course you can get pasta or pizza and greek salads, corn on the cob, etc. We also love their tall cups of lemondade.

We love to walk the Wildwood NJ boardwalk and try all the different flavors of polish water. All the polish water places give out samples. You will flavors such as watermelon, apple, chocolate, vanilla, etc. For me, it is enough to just try all the samples at each place. I really like the polish ice, but I'd rather buy a tall vanilla soft ice cream cone dipped in chocolate, or Dip 'N Dots Ice Cream. My parents think Dip 'N Dots is very expensive. They said half of what is in the cup is 'air'.

Last year (2010) was the first time we noticed a new item on the Wildwood boardwalk, the potato stix. Truthfully, it looked better in the picture then it tasted. I thought they would be crispy like potatoe chips, but they were not. They were softer than I thought they would be. Maybe they can cook them more to make them crispier. We have purchased a large fries from Curlies in the past and have totally enjoyed them more than the potato stix. Actually one of the tickets in the family book of tickets for the rides is a free Curlies Fries.

One thing everyone should try at least once are the Fried Oreos. Sounds crazy, but yummmmmmmy!

Recently, only wanting a quick bite, we succumbed to the cheap pizza slices and were very disappointed. It tasted like cardboard to me. I guess the old saying, you get what you paid for is really true. We'll stick with the Hot Spot for pizza from now on.
